Sports and physical labor, as well as going barefoot may also cause them to form.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal; color: #800000;\">Symptoms<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal;\">A hard, raised, rough area appears on the skin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal;\">An area of pain underneath the skin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal;\">Dry or flaky skin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal;\">Slight to severe discoloration<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal; color: #800000;\">Treatment<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large; font-family: inherit; font-weight: normal;\">While corns and calluses are technically different, they can be treated using the same techniques such as wearing patches over the affected area and trimming away at excess skin.
