Maintaining the health of all our patients and staff is very important during the COVID-19 crisis. We recognize some patients will continue to need in-office treatment for ongoing high risk foot care, wounds, acute injuries, and infections to avoid a trip to the ER or urgent care facility. Our patients with pre-existing conditions would be better served in a small sanitized office setting. Therefore, we remain open during this time with the following changes in protocol to promote safety.

Telemedicine Service

For non-emergent care, we offer telehealth visits from the comfort of your home. There are several ways, from telephone to online video, to chat with the doctor. New and established patients can call our office number at 205-409-0175 to schedule a telehealth appointment. This can be used to follow up on a current treatment or to get started on an initial treatment which can later be followed up in the office at a future date.

Safe Office Visits

When an in-office visit is necessary, expect the following protocol to maintain sanitation and promote social distancing.

  • Wellness questionnaire with no-contact digital temperature check upon arrival
  • Wait in your car option (office will call your cell phone when an exam room is ready for you).
  • Appointments limited to the mornings. This helps to limit staff exposure and allow for more time to perform detail office cleaning.
  • Limit of 10 people in the office.
Reception room chairs spaced out to promote social distancing.
Sanitized pens and clip boards to keep your hands clean.

We ask that you respect your neighbor’s personal space while you are in the office. Please help yourself to using hand sanitizer placed around the office.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. May you stay safe and healthy. We are all in this together.
